Memorial Day

It is tradition in the LaCava family that on Memorial Day we drive (or walk in our case since we live only 6 blocks away) to the Main Street bridge and sit in the middle to watch the parade. Jacob was only two months old last year and was asleep the entire time. This year it was so fun to watch him watch the parade. He clapped for the veterans when everyone else clapped

and then was frightened when the fire trucks came by and blew their horns (he likes fire trucks when they don't have their sirens on).

After the parade this year, Jason and I thought it would be nice to have a cook-out after the parade for the family (plus it happened to be Jason's mom's birthday so we celebrated her birthday and my mom's - my mom's was only 6 days prior). Most of both of our families and our neighbors and their friends joined us. The weather was warm and sticky, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
