Rising Independence...

Our little monkey has been on an independence streak lately. I knew the day would come where he started to think he needed Daddy and I less and less and now that it is here, I want my baby boy back. Recently, his biggest independence thing is brushing his own teeth. Let me tell you, the fit he throws if we even attempt to do anything more than hand him his toothbrush with toothpaste on it is so hilarious to watch. After he gets over the fact that Mommy has to put the toothbrush in his mouth first and then he can brush so he doesn't get toothpaste all over the place, then he settles down a bit and this is what we get to enjoy watching from our big monkey boy:
