Grand Rapids Zoo Boo

A couple weekends ago, our family traveled to Grand Rapids to visit our friends the Zandstras. What a fun time we had. We met them at the zoo on Saturday to attend the Zoo Boo. Our little monkey has always enjoyed the zoo, but walking around with a costume on was a new experience. I so love his costume this year (not that I didn't enjoy Darth Vader last year)! We asked him what he was after we had his costume on him and he replied "Eee,eee" (his word for Monkey).

Since Jacob was so little last year, he didn't know what was happening when people were giving him candy and treats. After the first couple tables, he started to get the hang of it. Here he is waiting for his candy.


When he figured out he had treats in his ghost, he refused to let us carry his ghost.

He wanted the stash for himself!


Of course, he's not going to be able to eat all the candy himself, (and by no means would we ever give him that much candy! He would be jumping off the roof!!) so daddy is more than happy and willing to take one for the team.
