Ahh....getting closer to catching everyone up on the massive amount of things that have happened here over the past couple months. Memorial Day was a somewhat dreary day, but we enjoyed the parade and the LaCava's Annual Memorial Day Cookout after the parade, since we only live 8 blocks from the area where it all happens (and everyone is always invited to join us - just bring a dish to pass!). It was Jacob's first real parade since he hasn't really been old enough to enjoy it yet. He loved the police motorcycles, big army trucks, fire trucks and ambulances along with the couple bands that played (he loved dancing to the beat!).
Waving his flag
We had a few family and some friends join us after the parade at our house and plenty of good eats to fill us up.
"Almost"
Both Jason's mom and my mom celebrate birthdays around Memorial Day (my mom on the 20th and Jason's on the 26th - the day after Memorial Day this year). Jacob was still not sure about singing 'Happy Birthday' but he made it through without crying! We'll take what we can get.
