New York Family Vacation - Letchworth State Park

Every year, we seem to have trouble planning on where to go for vacation and this year was no exception.  After some thought, Jason suggested New York, so I thought, why not? We've been North to Mackinac/Soo Locks and Newaygo, we've been south to the State Parks in Southern Indiana so either West or East was a logical choice :)  Since his parents have visited New York a couple of times, we decided to head off to New York (that and the boys have never seen Niagara Falls) :)  Our first stop was Letchworth State Park and it was sure pretty.

Hogsback Area - yep, that's junior on the 'other' side of the fence...little daredevil!

He was constantly asking to get his picture taken. He's a pro at it by now!

Now both of them are on the 'other' side of the fence...naughty boys

Jason's parents started taking pictures with "Seemore" here and we thought it would be hilarious to take them too :)  Jacob thought it was the 'funniest thing ever' so every time we saw "Seemore", I was bombarded with "Mommy, Mommy, it's Seemore. You have to take a picture!"

Mt. Morris Dam

"Seemore" again :)

Tea Table lookout.

Middle Falls

Upper Falls - we got to watch a train go across while we were eating lunch.  Being so high in the air, the train moved REALLY slow going across.

Middle Falls

The Lower Falls - it was a trek down 180 steps (which eventually we had to go back up) to get here to see the lower falls, but it was worth it!

If you look really close (or click on the picture) you can see a little guy in a green shirt - yep, that's my naughty husband climbing the big rock. We are pretty sure he wasn't suppose to be up there :)

One of the overlooks.  We were so impressed by how Western New York looked.  It's beautiful country!
