Just in case you haven't seen the last two or three posts, Baby Girl is 1!!! I went back and forth for about a month on what to do for her birthday party. We always do a fairly big first birthday and then tone it down for the ones after that. I scoured Pinterest for a couple months to get some basic ideas on what I wanted.
I borrowed a number of things from family - I raided my mom's vintage china and depression glass for the candy bar. I bought the curtains at Goodwill for $1 for both of them and tea dyed them to get rid of their stark whiteness. The pictures I had taken each month in front of 'month' numbers printed out on cardstock. I strung them on pink ribbon and used tiny clothes pins from Hobby Lobby to hang them up. The bird cage was given to us from a friend, I just spray painted it cream (that cream spray paint can went a LONG ways for this party!) The teal colored vase was also from Goodwill and set me back a whole $.50!
The name print came from Suzi Q Print Shop on Etsy. I just gave her the info I wanted and she made the print for me. I printed it off at Walgreens and used a 40% off poster coupon so the entire thing was less than $20. I had a black frame already and just spray painted it cream.

A good friend of ours made Jenna's cake! I gave her a picture and she went from there! I love how it turned out! I did the little banner on a cricuit machine. It was pretty simple and took about 2 minutes. I used two chopsticks I had lying around to hold the banner. The cake plate was a family member's. Maybe a great aunt?
Most of the crystal and glass is from my collection or from my mom's depression glass collection. Thankfully she had a lot of pink!
Jenna's smash cake!
I got this cute idea off of Pinterest! I cut out three different colored circles on a cricuit machine and then sewed them together. Now, sewing them together is not the easiest thing in the world. It took a LONG time to sew them all and get one long enough. Good thing noone looked at it closely! The paper balls I found on clearance at Target for $1.50! Score!
Again, the circles...these things are a pain but they do look so cute when it's done (as long as you don't look really close) ;) These pictures I took along with the others, but just of her, no monthly print out or with her "Hugs" bear her brother got her when she was born.
I made this vintage banner with scraps from a friends' Etsy Store. You can find her here! She has some awesome vintage items! I used about half of the scrap pack I bought from her for this banner. (Update: This now hangs in her room at our new house as a valance! It is super cute in her vintage room!)
Jenna and her daddy! She is such a daddy's girl!
Where's Uncle garrett?
There he is!
She is such a ham when the camera is around! I used the same scrap fabric on this mini banner as I did with the fireplace. I bought the letters on sale from Hobby Lobby, painted them teal, and stapled them to a piece of twine. Very simple and VERY cheap!
Grandpa!
She is "So big!"

Ah, presents! This quilt was given to my mom (I'm not sure if it was someone in the family or what), but it was perfect for our outside party!
She would much rather eat the paper than open her presents.
Clothes! She is such a girl. She loves her clothes and her shoes!
Apparently paper isn't the only thing she will chew on...
Again, loves her clothes!
Squirrel!
We wouldn't open the boxes right away so she decided to jump on them!
Each and every box :)
What's in here??!
Toys!!
Loved her cake! I have made all but Jacob's first cake, but I was a little stressed with making the house ready to sell and trying to learn different decorating techniques was just not on the list of things to learn quickly. I found this cake online and she did a wonderful job!
She was so happy to blow out the candle!
With a little help of course!
Then, she wasn't so sure of actually eating her own little cake. She is usually so proper about eating her food and tries to stay as clean as possible, so this was a little out of her zone!
Once she dug in though, she was all over it! She does love her sweets! The hat was so easy to make! I downloaded a party hat template off google and printed it out on cardstock paper. I bought the ribbon, the beads (at 1/2 off was only $.50!), and the flower/broach at JoAnn's. The flower/broach was the most expensive part (almost $9 all together), but, I made it so I could take it off the hat and use it as a hair decoration later! A little hot glue and some patience, and about a 1/2 hour later, I had a cute little hat.
She was all about her cake!
Both our ham bones!
