Growing, growing, growing....

We just returned from Jacob's five month visit at the doctor's office. He has been given another excellent bill of health and was even told he is one of the best behaved little boys among his age group and even some that are older than him. He is still off the charts when it comes to height, 28.5 inches and he is a little lower on the charts in terms of his weight, 17lbs. 6oz (only 50%). No shots today which is very good. I can only handle them myself every other visit (I get way too emotional when seeing him get shots). Doctor Horvath says we should look for a pearly white tooth to pop through any day by the amount he's drooling and chewing on things.

Jacob's a regular little chatterbox now. It's bababa, mamama, gagaga all day long. He even likes to sing in the car sometimes with the music. He's gobbling down food like he's never eaten before as well (we are up to 2.5 Gerber 1st foods a day). Jacob is also trying to sit up more and more and even likes to stand while someone holds onto his hands (he even walks too). He grabs everything that you get close to his face and especially loves to grab daddy's ears, nose, mouth and even eyes when daddy gets close to him. Jacob also likes mommy's hair, earrings and necklaces too. Jacob just learned how to reach out to someone when he wants to be held by someone different. Daddy was holding him today and I asked Jacob if he wanted to come to mommy and he pushed off Jason and leaned towards me. Such a little milestone! What's even more exciting is he loves to read before he goes to bed. He will sit on my lap after getting his bath and listen to me read a story to him (after trying to eat the book first, but then he calms down and just sits there and listens). It's so cute to watch him look at the book and I just have to wonder what's going on in his little head...
