A Day at the Beach

Jacob has been so into his pool that Jason and I decided to take him to the beach one day. We figured going on a day that was slightly cooler would be best, but what we didn't think of was that when we were headed up to St. Joe, Michigan that they date might be an issue, July 3. The beach was packed! I'm sure Jacob was quite intimidated, but we walked to the North end of the beach thinking he would dive right in the water...

Not a chance! He wanted nothing to do with the lake what-so-ever!

He just screamed at the top of his lungs when Jason tried to put him down...

and when he finally did, it was as if we chopped both his legs off. So we decided that we would put Jacob up on the beach and we would wade in the lake.

Jacob was much better with that arrangement until he decided that he wanted one of us after his feet got wet (the water wasn't even cold if just your feet and legs wet).

We still managed to get a family picture out of the trip.

Jason thought back to his youth and decided that he could still climb Tower Hill. He did manage to make it up, although 15 years ago, he did not have a 32 pound 2 year old that he had to carry on his shoulders. I'm so proud of him for taking on the task and Jacob enjoyed "climbing" to the top!
