Sprinkler Fun! and our First Tomato

Jacob has enjoyed the outdoors tremendously this year. He has especially enjoyed his time playing in his pool and running through the sprinkler. After our trip to Brookfield, Mr. Jacob had no intention of being put to bed. I needed to water our garden and flowers and proceeded to turn on the sprinkler. Jacob was running around the back yard kicking his ball around and then kicked it a little too far into the sprinkler and then....a 1 hour event of running back and forth through the sprinkler playing kickball.

While Jacob was enjoying himself in the sprinkler, I was tending over our little garden, looking to see if any of our (what looks to be), no joking, 100-200 tomatoes were ready to pick (little did we know that 9 tomato plants thus far, 8-16-09, would yield almost 350 tomatoes so far this season, with a good 150 more on. I have been harvesting a good 30-50 every other day! We'll have plenty of tomato sauce and possibly canned salsa to get us to next year!). As I looked over and carefully moved our precious plants that Jacob helped plant weeks before, I spotted it! A ripe little tomato. Jacob had to show off his tomato 'friend' for you (ok...so it was myself who had to get the picture, but it is his garden)!
