Christmas is always such a long day for us. We have so many places to go and so many people to see. I love doing it but boy can it take it out of ya! This is the second wing of our adventure after presents at our house - Jason's parent's house, then my Grandma's for Christmas lunch and then Jason's Aunt and Uncle's for Christmas dinner.
We've had the Wii for a couple years now and we've had games that either myself or daddy can play, but none that Jacob could really play, up until this Christmas. He received Mario Kart from us (which he's become really good at even after only a couple weeks) and he received this awesome Sky Captain game from Grandma and Grandpa LaCava. He loves airplanes so it is very fitting.
"Is this one for me?"
Jacob holding his new Leap Frog Text and Learn. After we finally got it out of the box for him to play with, he didn't really put it down for the rest of the day except to eat : )
'The Night Before Christmas' Hallmark book narrated by Grandma LaCava. What a neat gift!
Jacob LOVES tic-tac-toe and loves his new Tic-Tac-Toe doggy. He has a book with a wipe off marker to play tic-tac-toe and the doggy himself has little felt x's and o's to play on him!
See....very engrossed in his new toy!
I can't believe he carried this over to the spot all by himself, but he did manage quite well.
His big gift from Grandma and Grandpa LaCava this year was a tool bench. He plays with his cousins every time we are over there and asks for one every time we leave. It goes great with his tool box from Christmas Eve! He loves it!
Christmas continued over at my Grandma's house and Jacob always suckers someone into playing with him and usually, it's Uncle Garrett (not that Uncle Garrett doesn't love playing with him - I think it's an excuse to act silly!)
Of course, Jacob makes his rounds and noone is exempt from getting jumped on, sat on, or plowed into....
of course, there are ramifications if you start showing your belly : )
We had a great Christmas and as ready as I am to get back to 'normal', I always miss this time of year. Have a Happy New Year and many Blessings to you all!
