Brown County - Day 6

Almost the last day of vacation.  It's amazing on how slow vacation starts out as you are driving to your destination and then before you know it, it's getting to be that time to go home. We spent our last, full day, walking around Nashville and driving and walking our way around just a small part of Brown County State Park.

Our view out of our cabin

Walking around downtown Nashville, Jacob wanted his picture taken on this pig outside the General Store.

This is the Ramp Creek Covered Bridge at the entrance of Brown County State Park.  It is the oldest covered bridge in Indiana and the only double covered bridge still standing.

The North lookout tower.

Such beautiful views at the top of the North Lookout

Brown County has such beautiful views from almost every point!

Find some rocks and a lake, and Jacob will be happy for hours!

The Fire Tower at Brown County.  The tower was built in the 30's to help spot fires in the park.  It rises over 1000 feet in the air and has a great 360 view around the park. The little guy in our life decided that he wanted to climb the tower...all the way to the....TOP!

So up, Up, UP we went!

And it was worth it! Such a beautiful view!

We may just have one of the most inquisitive children I've ever known.  While at the top of the tower he looked at Jason and asked "Daddy, can I see what would happen if I threw my hat down from up here?" As you can see, just a little lower than the middle of the picture - that would be the yellow hat, Jacob's hat is finding it's way down to the ground.

The 'we made it' thumbs :)

Our very last trail. More of the beautiful views of the park.

One more day and it all comes to an end...
