Wow! Just where did it all go? What happened to my little guy? Apparently children grow up and way too fast might I add. Jacob will be 5 next year and that means Kindergarten so that means this year is Pre-Kindergarten! YIKES! We had a busy day planned for us and daddy even took the day off to be able to drop Jacob off and have lunch with us.
Time to wake up! Getting used to a new schedule...this may take some time, but he did manage to smile for me before he got out of bed.
We weren't quite sure how the first day would go when dropping him off, so I grabbed some quick pictures out back before leaving for school. Boy am I glad I did. It was like we almost didn't exist once he was out of the car. It was 'bye mom and dad', a short little kiss and he was off to being way too grown up :( Not a tear or anything from him (but there were a few from me). Of course, we have been talking about school for a while now and he has been so excited about going.

Daddy and I picked up our little guy from school and took him to one of our favorite places for lunch and ice cream: Bonnie Doon! Grilled Cheese, french fries and Superman ice cream makes for a happy little guy!
To top off our fun filled day of the first day of school, we went putt-putting. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Daddy or Jacob. As much as daddy has golfed, Jacob did manage to get 2 holes-in-one compared to daddy's 1 :) That just made Jacob's day knowing he beat daddy.
What a fun filled day for us! We went home and 'someone' promptly fell asleep shortly after we walked in the door. We can't wait to see what he learns this year!
