Magnets?

I love hanging up Jacob's art work, but it is such a pain to find 'cute' magnets that not only do the job they were designed to do, but that also don't look 'cheap' when doing it.  A good friend has a fridge FULL of these. What's great about them is they are cheap and they can look how you want them to look!  It's REALLY simple too!

All you need is:
Craft Marbles that are flat on one side - I found these at Dollar Tree
Magazines (that you don't mind cutting up) - for pictures
Mod Podge
Scissors
White Cardstock
Magnets
Glue Gun

1. Cut out the picture you want by placing the Marble over the picture and then cutting around it. When cutting, try to cut 'under' the marble so you won't see the edges.

2. When done cutting out your picture, take your Mod Podge and cover the back of the marble and stick your picture to it, with the picture facing the side you just Mod Podged.  Let it dry for 20 seconds or so. While waiting, cut a piece of cardstock into squares slightly bigger than the marble.  Paint another thin layer of Mod Podge on top of the picture and stick to the cardstock.  Cut around the cardstock like you did with the picture.

3. Hot Glue time! Take a magnet, place a bead of hot glue on the back of the marble, stick magnet to marble and let dry!

4. Viola!  Cute magnets in whatever theme and whatever pictures you want! Ours are airplanes at the moment since that is what Jacob is fascinated with at the moment. :)
