Niagara Falls!

The end of our trip...It was a beautiful end too.  I saw Niagara Falls before, seven years ago when I traveled with my 8th graders and we couldn't go to New York without stopping by Niagara Falls :)  We purchased a Discovery Pass which allowed us to get into all the Niagara Falls attractions.

Jacob like the Discovery Center and learning about the history of Niagara Falls.

Next stop was the aquarium where he learned about a whole assortment of different animals...

...Including this guy :)

Our first view of the falls.

These two don't look happy at all.

Jacob was so excited for the Maid of the Mist!

Right before going in the falls...we stood on the top deck of course because being down below means you don't get the full power of the falls :)

Out in the lake looking at the American Falls.

A view of the American Falls while on our way to the Horseshoe Falls.

The Horseshoe Falls are so powerful that you can barely see them because of all the mist.

At first, someone wasn't too excited about getting wet...

And then he thought it was funny once daddy thought it was :)

Our ride to the falls...

A look at the Observation Deck from down by the Maid of the Mist. It's a long way up!

The Falls from the Observation Deck

Seemore joined us again :)  He was around a LOT around here!

We walked down by the Horseshoe Falls and got up close and personal with the roaring water!

One of the Maids of the Mist going into the Horseshoe Falls.

One thing I did not get to do last time, was the Cave of the Winds, where you get to go directly into the Bridal Falls!

Jacob all decked out for going into the Falls.

Jason and Jacob under the falls.  The rush of water is beyond crazy!  The power is overwhelming!

The boys getting pelted (yes, that is what it feels like) by the splash of the falls.

They somehow managed to look up in all that power that rained down on them!

The sunset from our room.  If you look close enough, you can see the mist from the falls :)

After dinner and a short relaxing nap in our room, we ventured out one last time to view the falls at night.  Lights from Canada shine on the falls and light them up.  We stayed for quite a while watching the colors change. It is such a different viewing during the night.
