Jacob's 6th Birthday

Jacob wanted a Star Wars party this year and with the amount of Star Wars 'stuff' we have around here, it's not a hard request to fulfill! :)  I mean, we have a whole room downstairs that is dedicated to showing off all of Jason's Star Wars items (ok, MOST of them).

So the little guy got his wish and Star Wars Party it was!

He received some awesome gifts...

He is still into airplanes!

Ninja Turtles is a new interest this year.  Uncle Garrett is proud :)

Grandpa Mac gave Jacob a birdhouse Grandma Willingham made a while back.
Such a thoughtful gift to remember her by!!

Ah, legos type toys...just as long as I don't step on them in the middle of the night, we are good!

Daddy insisted on the Darth Maul double light saber.  I wonder who will play with it more....hmmmm.....

I made his cake again this year and let me tell you, this year was no easy task.  I had absolutely no idea what to do for his cake.  Every cake I came across in my searches were fondant cakes and I did not want to experiment with fondant this year.  So I settled for simple and boring and dressed it up with his Playskool Hero's Jedi Force figurines instead.  I downloaded the actual Star Wars font, made it big enough for the cake, printed it out, laid some wax paper on top of the paper, melted some chocolate and traced the words.  In the freezer it went until cake time and then I put them on the cake with some leftover frosting and viola!  Writing on the cake.
