It has been a busy, busy, BUSY summer! Jason finally convinced me to put our house on the market in June (after 5 years) and we sold our first house and now have a new house. It could not have worked out better to find our new house. There were many, many, MANY unpolished homes in our price range and this one only came on the market a week before we sold our house. Such a blessing to find a house that fits just about every mark on our checklist (even the colors in all the rooms except Jenna's work well for us that is how great this house is)! New carpet, new tile, new paint, no wallpaper, fenced in yard, beautiful WORKING fireplace..oh yes!
Here's a shot of the front. I actually get a front porch that other people can see. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to miss my covered front porch, however, I'm loving the new porch!
A short tour...
As you walk in the front door. Upstairs to the right, Kitchen, 1/2 bath, and Family room straight ahead, Living Room to the left. Oh, and there are closets. Wonderful, glorious closets! The downstairs coat closet is behind the front door!
Obviously the stairs to the second floor.
Living Room
And they left the mounts for the TVs AND installed kits so the wires don't show. BONUS!
Dining Room
Dining Room goes into the Kitchen
Kitchen, eat in, and Family Room. It's so open!
My LARGE kitchen with almost double the space. SOOOO nice! And do you see that window above the kitchen sink? Yes, that window looks out over my huge back yard - not onto the neighbors siding 10 feet from my house. LOVE it!
From the eat in part in the kitchen the garage door is to the left (yes, the ATTACHED TWO STALL garage!!!). The downstairs door is next and the door straight ahead in the middle is the 1/2 bath! That means more than 1 bath! Yay :)
1/2 bath! It's an olive green that I wasn't so excited about the color, but everything I kept from my bathroom at the old house before we did the reno, fits perfectly.
Jacob's own room! It's a pretty grey and will go perfectly with his Star Wars or Airplane stuff. We will have to see how that decision goes ;) The open door is a walk in closet. Both the kids' rooms have a walk in closet (although Jenna's is twice the size as Jacob's. What can I say, she's a girl!)
Jenna's room. We have to decide on the color, but I'm thinking it'll probably be pink in the mix and the baseball fan has to go. That's just not going to work for baby girl.
MASTER bedroom! So excited to have a bigger room (our past room was smaller than the kids' new rooms (literally fit a queen bed two small nightstands and a small dresser). This new room is twice the size and I can arrange it any way I want!
You see that door on the left? Yep, that's an en suite!!! Our very own bathroom. The kids get one and we get one! Yay! The door to the right is our walk in closet!
Our en suite!
Our backyard looking to the right of our sliding back door. It has a 16x16 deck and a play set, another BONUS! It needs to be restained, but hey, the back breaking work of building one is done!
Not only do we have a 16x16 deck, we also have a 14x14 block patio! I love that it's fenced in so I can let the kids play in the back without having to worry about the ally or cars flying down my street. I love too that a couple owners ago paid to have good landscaping done so all we have to do is rip out a few bushes and then upkeep! The major most expensive part has been done for us. BIG plus!
