Vacation 2015 Stop 3: Day at the Island of Palms

What is a trip in South Carolina without a trip to the ocean! We had beautiful weather for our trip and it was not too crowded either (now leaving was another issue all together because everyone wanted to leave at the same time!).

Of course, when you are going to the beach and you see these signs, it makes you think a bit. One of the realities of not living near hurricane landfall areas!  As a side note, we saw these signs quite a ways into Georgia too later in our trip.

We had so much fun I forgot to take pictures except of this one of Little Miss. This was after our first 'dip' and she was NOT happy at me for it!

This was Jacob's first trip to the ocean too and he loved it. He did complain a little bit about the salt at first, but after 20 minutes or so, it was like it wasn't even there. We spent around 5 hours at the beach and we were certainly tuckered out by the time we left when the tide started coming in.

We went out to eat at the Crab Shack in downtown Charleston. I must say, best seafood I have ever eaten! We certainly miss the food in Charleston. it was soooooo good!
