Finally 3!

It's hard to believe, but our little guy is now 3!  Boy how fast these past 3 years have gone. I know every mom says it, but, it DOES seem like just yesterday that just the two of us become our little family of three.

Gone are the days when my little guy would fall asleep without having to beg him to take a nap (he will wish he would have taken more naps when he's older!) and falling asleep on my chest.

Gone are the days of little baby feet (not that the child already had size 2 feet when he came out, but they were so cute!)

Jacob's first year was an exciting and fun-filled year filled with a bunch of firsts.  His first year was capped off with him showing us how he could walk on his first birthday.  The boy must have wanted to move, because he just stood up and went!

Our baby then turned 2 and along with it, came an attitude from nowhere and a resistance to try anything new:

He did not want to play with the fireworks,

He did not want to play in the water at the beach,

Nor did he want nothing to do with the fish he caught with Papa Miller.

Here's to three and branching out to a new world that can only be seen through the eyes of a little guy.

My little, helpless baby has now grown into a full fledged toddler who is growing more independent with each passing day.  I don't know what I am going to do in a couple years when he goes off to school (which he is already starting to ask when he can go!).  Some days it cannot come fast enough and then there are others when all he wants is to sit and cuddle while he watches a show. I cherish these days and wish he would cuddle more!

He continues to bring us smiles every day, amidst the constant trials of being a toddler.

It's hard to imagine our lives before his cute little smile and a love that cannot be explained entered into our hearts 3 years ago.  It is a joy and a privilege to be his parents and every day we thank God for the little blessing He gave us three years ago.

Happy 3rd Birthday to our little monkey!
